Today we showcase the Islamic Art by a very talented reader on MyUmmah.
Nazeema Ryklief successfully juggles being a teamleader in the corporate world, a mother to 3 children and a wife. And still found the time to send us these amazing hand painted Islamic works.
When asked about what got her started:
“I heard about Islamic Calligraphic Art classes available for
beginners and joined immediately. I attended 4 classes in July 2009 and was
confident to explore the world of art on my own thereafter. I love abstract art and
decided to incorporate Islamic calligraphy onto a canvas with abstract painting. I get
my inspiration from shapes and colours I see around me, love adding texture and
lastly add Islamic calligraphy onto the canvas.”
