“Nothing that I have ever studied about Islam, and I really mean nothing… has ever changed my thinking and allowed me to mature in my thoughts about this deen and about what Allah wants from us from our life in the 21st Century, like the knowledge of the rules of Fiqh. A person who learns it – grows wiser by the day and is rewarded with amazing insight into this religion. I think it is appropriate then, that we start of AlKauthar in Johannesburg South Africa with the most interesting aspect of knowledge.”      [Tawfique Chowdhury]
The essence of Fiqh is based around certain golden rules which if learnt, summarize to the student – fiqh in its vastness. Through these rules, a person increases in his/her wisdom, achieves scholarly insight, affirms the principles, becomes aware of the specifics and more importantly – these rules clarify to him the goals and purposes of the Shariah.

AbdoeragmaanI spoke to friends of mine on a message bored to ask for any info on the course. This wouldn’t even post it on the site as this organization is a “salafi†one. This course is for those who have no need for madhab & no respect for traditional Islam taught by generations of scholars dating back as early as Imam Abu Hanifah. Hence their course on derive views of fiqh without memorizing the current views. This is dangerous in that in order to use your own view you should be well versed in Arabic (classical), perfect in Quraan, & have a large knowledge of Hadith & seerah. & none of there courses offer anything like that. To get a degree from them all one needs is 40 hadith on Nawawi & 5 juzz hafith which is insufficient for a faqhi.
