Coming from a webdesign & graphic background I think it would be fitting to review and in turn link to various Islamic Websites which I find interesting.
Enter: Islam-Guide.com, their tag-line is “A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam”
Which in todays turbulent times is much in need. The website is basically a transcript of a book by the same title, topics cover all aspects of Islam at an introductory level. Us Muslims might take it for granted, however reading through various pages is somewhat of a revision. With our fast paced lifestyles its very easy to at times forget our core beliefs. I truly feel that following the simple tenants of Islam (Salaah, Fasting, Prayer, Hajj & Kalimah) will improve your life and the ones around you.
This Islamic guide is for non-Muslims who would like to understand Islam, Muslims (Moslems), and the Holy Quran (Koran). It is rich in information, references, bibliography, and illustrations. It has been reviewed and edited by many professors and well-educated people. It is brief and simple to read, yet contains much scientific knowledge. It contains the whole book, A Brief Illustrated Guide to Understanding Islam, and more
Islam Guide begins with various miracles of the Quran, then core beliefs & concepts and slowly progresses to the more detailed ideals and beliefs of a Muslim. Controversial (at least to the Western Media) topics such as Terrorism, Women, Family are all addressed briefly and to the point, along with various Quranic & Hadith quotes.
While Islam-Guide might not win awards for the best in terms of design & user interface, the content is what matters, and in this case, Islam Guide delivers flawlessly.
Lastly, if you still find the website to tacky, Islam Guide offers you the choice to download their entire book in .pdf format, click on this link to download (its about 5megs)
