Al- Habib Kadhim Ja„far Muhammad al-Saqqaf is a direct descendent of the Prophet (SAW). A scholar of high repute, he was born in Tarim, Hadramaut in 1960.
He currently teaches at the prestigious Islamic institute Dar al-Mustafa in Tarim as well as sit-ting on the Council for Legal Verdicts at the same establishment.

Habib Kadhim is well travelled and has spent a considerable amount of time in the past few years travelling to the UK. He has greatly as-sisted many Muslims in the West to under-stand their roles and responsibilities in their specific societies. Many continue to benefit from his lectures and talks widely available on the internet.

Habib Kadhim is versatile in all areas of traditional Islamic Sciences. He is more famous for his discourses on Purification of the Heart, Fiqh, History, Dawah and Hadith.

The Prophet (PBUH) said:
“The people of Yemen have come to you, they are the softest of hearts and the most tender of souls. Iman is that of the Yemenis and wisdom is Yemenite yonder…” (Narrated by Abu Hurayrah in Sahih al-Bukhari)
