I am not a Palestinian, but my heart feels like one with all what’s going on now..
I found these rare photos for Palestine during the period 1900 – 1940, the time
before the \" Nakba\" ( Israeli occupancy for Palestine)

I saw in these photos the peace and beauty and calmness of these lands and its people \" The Arabs\",
their life was simple, their eyes happy and smiling, they were peaceful and raw.
I wonder what can turn such a peaceful land into fields of blood and violence like now,
but the answer will be on the last photo of the video, where 60 years time of endless fighting
for their own rights and freedom against Israeli terror turned those people into this woman
just hanging till her last breath with the last dying tree on her land and not letting go the
last thread of her existence on her land which the blind occupation wants to cut!!

Got these images via email, subhanallah! . This mosque is truly beautiful.  I think the photographer overdid it with the fisheye lens but at the same time it could have been the only lens wide enough to cover such a huge masjid!

Sheikh Zayed Mosque is the third largest mosque in the world [1], located in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It is named after Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan the founder and the first President of the United Arab Emirates, who is also buried there. The Mosque was officially opened in the month of Ramadan in 2007. It is located in a large area between two bridges, Mussafah Bridge and Maqta bridge.

With so many millions pumped into building such a splended place of worship, I sincerely hope their salaah congregations & deen work is just as beautiful and larger then life.

Below are pictures of the tomb of Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas.

Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqas is one of the 10 Sahaba Promised Jannah, he fough valiantly at key battles such as Badr & Uhud.  Served under our Prophet (pbuh), all 4 Khalifa’s and is one of the Sahaba responsible for bringing Islam to China.  He is buried in Guangzhou & his son built the first masjid in China (i’ll feature those pictures soon)

Wikipedia has an apt description of Masjid Negara aka The National Mosque

The Masjid Negara is the national mosque of Malaysia, located in Kuala Lumpur. It has a capacity of 15,000 people and is situated among 13 acres of beautiful gardens. The original structure was designed by a three-person team from the Public Works Department – UK architect Howard Ashley, and Malaysians Hisham Albakri and Baharuddin Kassim. Originally built in 1965, it is a bold and modern approach in reinforced concrete, symbolic of the aspirations of a then newly-independent Malaysia.

Its key features are a 73-metre-high minaret and an 18-pointed star concrete main roof. The umbrella, synonymous with the tropics, is featured conspicuously – the main roof is reminiscent of an open umbrella, the minaret’s cap a folded one. The folded plates of the concrete main roof is a creative solution to achieving the larger spans required in the main gathering hall. Reflecting pools and fountains spread throughout the compound

One of the highlights on any of my trips abroad is to pray in various masjid’s. In all cases, the same feeling of tranquility and peacefulness overtakes the usual stress of traveling abroad. On my last 2 trips I took photo’s of the various Masjids.

As always, theres pro’s and cons. Personally I think the cons outweigh the pro’s. For starters it’ll commercialise Madinah to a completely new level, pilgrims will often be tempted to ‘shop till they drop’ instead of spend their days praying & giving salaam to our Rasul & his companions.

Those that have been to Madinah will know the peace and tranquil atmosphere they experience, however with these massive skyscrapers towering over Masjid-e-Nabawi this is bound to disappear.

On the flipside, this could be one of the signs of the Last Day. As we all know that when Dajjal (the antichrist) arrives, he will torment the earth but never able to enter Madinah or Makkah. By this logic, thousands of believers will flock to these two cities to avoid facing the trials of Dajjal. Hence with the massive developments, perhaps this allows Madinah to accomodate this influx of people.
