Ponder over this for Fajr

Ponder over this: FAJR A man woke up early in order to pray the Fajr prayer in the masjid. He got dressed, made his ablution and was on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, the man fell and his clothes got dirty. He got up, brushed himself off, and headed home. At home, he changed his clothes, made his ablution, and was, again, on his way to the masjid. On his way to the masjid, he fell again and at the same spot! He, again, got up, brushed himself off and headed home. At home … [Read more...]

The Purpose of Prayer

from Khalid Baig's website "There are men who say, 'Our Lord! Give us (Your bounties) in this world.' But they will have no portion in the Hereafter. And there are men who say, 'Our Lord! Give unto us in this world that which is good and in the Hereafter that which is good, and save us from the torment of the Fire.' To these will be allotted what they have earned. And Allah is swift at reckoning" [Al-Baqarah 2:200-202]. "Prayer is the essence of worship." [Hadith]. Prayer is communication … [Read more...]

What Good is Salaah

Fantastic article from Khalid Baig, the more I visit his website, Al Balagh, the more gems I pick up. The word prayer, though, is also used for supplication or dua and is therefore avoided in this article.) is the most important of your obligations. Whoever takes good care of it and safeguards … [Read more...]
