I find it difficult to agree with brother Khalid. There is nothing vague in the story. Doing sin is, infact, breaking one's promise with Allah SWT that he made by witnessing that NOTHING AND NO ONE is the Lord of this Universe. That No one and nothing is worthy of worship save Allah SWT. That the Holy Prophet SAW is the last of all Prophets. It is human that breaking a promise is considered to be a shameful act by human nature. Doing sin with a feeling that what he is doing is wrongis one thing and persisting in sin is a sign of absence of that feeling of remorse. persistense in sin invites Allah wrath. The story is a clear sign of Allah's wrath upon the person. He was deprived of the opportunith of repenting. May Allah sve every Muslim from such an evil end. Besides, It is an eye witness story of A Muttaqi and Allah's fearing truthful Muslim spiritual Master. It is very effective to every Muslim who is sure to die and being accounted by Allah SWT for what he or she has done. Allah knows better.

I don't see the point in this story. For every person who behaves as the man in the story did I'm sure there's another who did the exact opposite. As Muslims we are all responsible for our own deeds. This story is way too vague and general to be effective.
